The EG-U.S. Exchange Alumni Council was pleased to conduct an Informational session about the “GIVE IT BACK” grant – 2024

The session took place on Thursday, February 29^th, at 8:00 PM via Google Meet. It provided a comprehensive overview of the most important aspects of the grant, with answers to all the new questions raised by participants.

During the session, a group of experts presented valuable insights, including:

1. Dr. Mai Mowafy: President of the Alumni Council, who provided a detailed explanation of how to correctly write a grant application to enhance the chances of winning and clarified the essential roles of partners in the grant process.
2. Joseph Mekar: Head of the Evaluation and Follow-up Committee of the Alumni Council, who discussed how to generate attractive ideas for the grant, along with analyzing community needs and the importance of networking to support and develop ideas that would gain the approval and support of decision-makers.
3. Fadia Aboud: Head of the Communications and Media Committee of the Alumni Council, who explained the critical role of the financial manager in ensuring the success of the grant. She also addressed the question, “How can I be a successful financial manager for the grant, even if it’s not my field of expertise?” Fadia shared guidance on how to create an accurate and logical budget for the grant and outlined the financial manager’s responsibilities before, during, and after the project’s completion.

  This session was a valuable   opportunity for participants to learn everything they need to know about the “GIVE IT BACK” grant and to benefit from the extensive experience of the distinguished speakers.
