Dr. Mai Mowafy is an Assistant Professor in Linguistics and Translation at the Department of English Language, Literature and simultaneous Interpretation, Al-Azhar University in Cairo. She works as a freelance conference Interpreter & Translator. She has been a visiting scholar at New York University, USA, participating in the SUSI Scholars program. Dr. Mowafy also took part in the Fulbright Junior Faculty Development program that aimed at enhancing the skills of faculty members in linguistics and teaching English as a second language. She was a visiting researcher at the University of Maryland in Baltimore County. She holds a Master’s degree in Critical Discourse Analysis and a Ph.D. in Multimodal Discourse Analysis and Translation Studies. Since graduating, she has worked as a freelance translator, simultaneous Interpreter, as well as an English language trainer.
Mr. Ahmed Hassan has been teaching English since 2003. He is a certified teacher educator from the British Council through sharing in two of the big training courses all over Egypt (NTTP Program, and Tea Training Program). As well as he has been a RELO mentor certified trainer by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo since 2020. In addition to being one of TIEC’s (Texas International Education Consortium Exchange Program 2022) top achievers who went to Texas, USA in an Exchange Educational program it was an unforgettable educational journey. Moreover, he worked as a capstone leader and coordinator in STEM schools and international schools. Finally, he shared in Alexandria RELO Hub as a facilitator and worked as a translator and interpreter in KSA for more than one year and a half.
As a passionate educator and trainer of trainers, Mr. Ahmed Hassan teaches several courses online and offline to other teachers’ educators including TOEFL iBT Test preparation courses, and IELTS Academic Test preparation courses, change management and strategic management, time management, classroom management, student-centered classes strategies, active learning strategies and techniques plus teaching The Egyptian curriculum for several stages. He enjoyed visiting schools during his visit to Texas, USA to give observational notes and motivational sessions with American teachers there and he has an Honorary Resident from The City Council of Austin, Texas, USA. On the other hand, Mr. Ahmed Hassan is an enthusiastic learner with more than 27+ certifications in the field of teaching and learning English, and other institutes and universities all over the world.
Eng. Donia Elgendy is a fresh graduate civil engineer, graduated from Faculty of engineering Alexandria University. She is passionate advocate for the intersection of food, culture, and community. With a rich background that spans across continents, Donia’s journey began with her time as an exchange student in Arizona, where she immersed herself in American culture and developed a deep love for the culinary arts. This experience ignited her passion for the food and beverage industry, which she later explored as the Operations Manager of her family’s restaurant, “Jars and Jazz,” from 2018 to 2019.
At “Jars and Jazz,” Donia was responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflected her commitment to cultural exchange through food. Her time in this role solidified her belief in the power of food to bring people together and foster cross-cultural understanding.
She also has her own Facebook page called “Donia’s Cooking” where she write recipes for her followers
In addition to her work in the food industry, Donia is actively involved in cultural exchange programs. She has been a dedicated member of AFS Egypt and the US Ambassador Youth Council, where she organizes and participates in initiatives that promote global connections and cultural awareness.

Dr. Rasha Osman Abdel Haliem, is an English language and literature assistant professor, teacher trainer, blogger and journal reviewer. She is highly interested in teaching adults, comparative literature, using technology and assessment issues.
Her interest in the field of using Technology in education and enhancing English language teaching and learning made her an avid blogger. Her teaching blogs Reflective Teaching, Educational Technology in Practice, Integrating Critical Thinking in the Educational Process Exercises and Pcelt are full of helpful reflections on teaching practices. Dr. Osman has also presented in many national and international conferences. She was chosen to become a Regional Language Office Mentor for her dedication to serving and supporting the English as a Second Language community.
Fatma is a certified Scrum Master with a proven track record of delivering successful software projects. Remarkably, she shifted her career from interior architecture to software management at the age of 40, demonstrating a fearless pursuit of new challenges. Within just four years, Fatma’s exceptional talent and dedication were recognized with the prestigious TechWomen mentorship program, hosted by Yahoo in Silicon Valley for 5 weeks.
With over 6 years of industry experience, she has honed her skills in guiding teams through the complexities of Agile development. Fatma’s expertise lies in fostering high-performing, self-organized teams while ensuring alignment with project goals. Her deep understanding of Scrum principles and frameworks empowers her to create efficient and collaborative work environments.

Hagar Mohamed is a passionate and accomplished professional with a deep love for the English language and cultural exchange. Currently in her fourth year at the Faculty of Arts, Department of English Language and Translation at South Valley University, she stands out for her exceptional language skills and academic achievements. Her journey into the world of English began with the transformative ‘Access’ scholarship, which not only honed her linguistic abilities but also ignited a lifelong passion for teaching and translation.
In her professional life, she excels as a telesales representative at Insource Contact Centre, where she seamlessly communicates with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those from the U.S. and U.K. Her ability to bridge cultural and linguistic gaps is a testament to her skills and dedication. Beyond this, she is a committed HR and trainer member at the Life Makers Foundation, where she contributes to the development and empowerment of others.
Her experience is further enriched by her volunteer work as a translator and auditor for the U.S. Embassy’s alumni website. In this role, she meticulously translates documents, ensures the accuracy of content, and manages essential data, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to excellence. With a history of impactful roles, including as an English instructor at IT House in Aswan and a member of the Mentoring and Evaluation Committee at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, she continues to make significant contributions to every project she undertakes.
Nouran is a Games Concept Artist and Illustrator who has been working in the Video Games Industry since 2020. Experienced in Digital Art, Character designing, Game assets creation, and Graphic Design. Started her career in the video games industry in a small studio based in Egypt, Game Hermits Studio. In addition, she has worked on various freelance projects and has a wide client network in the Netherlands, Germany, the USA, Canada, and the MENA region.
She is also an exchange alumna of the Study in the United States Institutes (SUSI) – Women’s Leadership and Civic Engagement- program for the year 2022 among 79+ other young women from around the world joining together to Elevate Women’s Global Leadership, with a great passion for sustainability, community work, women’s empowerment, cross-cultural communication, and Leadership.
She served as a Google Developer Students Club Lead for the year 2021-2022, supervised by Google. Aiming to help students learn a wide range of technical skills, bridge the gap between theory & practice, and meet other student developers. Then nominated as a Women Techmakers Ambassador, an initiative by Google aiming to leverage a global network, achieve gender equality, and empower women to foster a world where all women can thrive in tech.
She has been nominated as the most Influential Female Leader by Dr. Maya Morsy, previously President of Egypt’s National Council for Women, for leading one of the most impactful initiatives in the Leaders League program by YLF (Youth Leaders Foundation) focusing on projects achieving the 17 goals of Sustainable Development.
Magdy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Administration from Helwan University. He served as the Director of Loans for the Luxor Branch office at the Upper Egypt Association for Education and Development, where he also holds the position of Deputy Director of the Microfinance Program. Magdy has extensive experience in youth education and development projects. He is the Director of the Youth Education Project to Support Entrepreneurship and Employment, a partnership with POSITIVE PLANET. Additionally, he has volunteered for the Taala Project, implemented by the Association Noor el Islam and the Coptic Catholic Diocese of Luxor, supported by the CRS organization. He has served as the Area Manager for Ana El-Masry’s “I Am The Egyptian” foundation, focusing on providing and implementing an integrated approach to support poor and marginalized families in Luxor and Qena Governorate. Magdy is an alumnus of the Cultural Exchange at Digital Economic Program (Virtual) in 2021 and the NGO Management Program (In Person) in the United States in 2022. His dedication to enhancing youth services and fostering tolerance through various projects highlights his commitment to community development and intercultural exchange.
