Dr. Mai Mowafy

The Head of the Council and a lecturer in Linguistics and Translation at the Department of English Language, Literature and simultaneous Interpretation, Al-Azhar University in Cairo. She works as a freelance conference Interpreter & Translator.

Dr. Mowafy holds a Master’s degree in Critical Discourse Analysis and a Ph.D. in Multimodal Discourse Analysis and Translation Studies. Since graduating, she has worked as a freelance translator, simultaneous Interpreter, as well as an English language trainer.
