Green Steps Project: Empowering Rural Communities through Climate Awareness and Sustainability
My friends and I embarked on the Green Steps Project, a significant initiative aimed at raising awareness about climate change and its impact on rural communities in Assiut government .
Our target audience included one hundred children, women, and youth.
The project began with awareness sessions, followed by training workshops on recycling.
These workshops culminated in exhibitions showcasing the remarkable products created, which received high praise from all attendees.
Among the project’s activities were two tree-planting campaigns involving children and young volunteers. Additionally, we organized an educational trip accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism, who was highly impressed with the project and invited us to participate in the World Tourism Day exhibition, incorporating a cultural touch into our recycled products.
We concluded the project with a delightful celebration, during which we shared our achievements.
The event was attended by many enthusiasts of environmental conservation, volunteerism, women’s economic empowerment, and more.
We hope to continue the project’s activities and aspire for Green Steps to become a global brand for eco-friendly products.
The project was contributed to by Shaimaa Hussein, Eman Tharwat, and Faten Elyan.
We value your feedback as it is essential for our continuous improvement. We look forward to your insights and suggestions.
